Sleek Original Palette
Sleek palettes are drugstore palettes that are very popular in the UK. The palettes are about $10.00 in the US for 12 pigmented colors. As you can see from the pictures all of these colors are very shiny and metallic. One thing I don't like is the lack of variety in finishes. The colors included in the palette are: a matte black, a metallic purple, a dark metallic blue, a metallic turquoise, a metallic teal, a dark metallic hunter green, a light champagne shade, a light pink, a darker pink, a metallic copper, a dark bronze brown and a metallic olive green. I wish these were more readily available in the US but unfortunately if you live here you have to resort to buying them online from sleekmakeup.com and paying more than $10 bucks for shipping or trying to find one on ebay. I also love that the palette has a very big mirror and I like how the packaging looks. Great palette for those looking for a variety of colors.

Le Metier de Beaute Eyeshadow Review/Swatches
Le Metier de Beaute is a luxury brand known for their Kaleidoscopes which are eyeshadow palettes whose colors are meant to be layered over one another. Today I am showing you two of their single eye shadows; Spicy and Corinthian. Although pricey-$30 each- they are worth the high price tag, at least to me. Both colors have a smooth buttery texture and are a dream to work with. The packaging is similar to that of NARS, it has a rubbery feeling outside with the brand name on the front. There is a mirror on the inside of the eyeshadow which is great if you're taking your shadow on the go. They contain 0.13 oz of product which is double the product of a MAC eyeshadow which come in at .05 oz. The swatches above are one swipe on bare skin, so you can see that they are pigmented shadows. Spicy is a darker bronze color with gorgeous shine while Corinthian is a purpely taupe. Corinthian is one of the more popular shades that Le Metier de Beaute has. I wish I had more money so I could buy more but I'm looking forward to expanding my collection in the future.

I know I'm supposed to be on a no buy but these friends and family sales were too hard to pass up. Ulta always has a lot of coupons but the majority of the time the higher end products are excluded. This time they weren't so I decided to pick up some stuff. Here's what I got:

Nars Yachiyo Brush
The Nars Yachiyo brush is a staple in everyday makeup routine. Although pricey it is worth the investment. This brush retails for $50 although I got it for $40 when Nars had a 20% off code a couple of months ago, so be on the lookout for those. The brush itself is is very soft and made from goat hair and is not very long as you can see from the photos. The top of the brush tapers to a point at the top unlike the MAC 129 which is more rounded and flat across the top. Nars says that the handle is made from hand-spun wisteria. I like how the brush blends out even the brightest of blushes so that they don't look so scary once applied to the cheeks. It fits perfectly on the apples of the cheeks and the tapered tip allows for you to also use this brush to contour your cheekbones as well. Overall this is a great brush and definitely worth the price.

WnW Greed Palette
Included in this wnw palette are again six shades to create multiple looks. There is a matte beige, which is a skin tone shade that is perfect for highlighting, there is also a grayish/silver/purple shimmery color. The next two shades include a matte orangey brown and a shimmering peach. The last two shades are a matte black and a shimmering dark gray. The shimmery on the bottom corner shade is not that noticeable once swatched as it is in the pan. I also found the grayish/silver color was a bit sheer. Once again it is still a good quality palette for the price.

Wet n' Wild is one of my favorite drugstore brands in terms of quality and price. They have lots of palettes and trios for less than $7 bucks and can be found in most drugstores including, CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. Today I'll be showing you three of the trios I have, two of which are more neutral and one that is more colorful. One thing I don't like about the trios is the lack of a matte shade. I personally don't like using only shimmery shades from lid to brow bone, i prefer variety in the finishes. The pigmentation on these is very good and the texture is soft and buttery. Dancing on Eggshells includes a copper color intended to be used on the lid, a purple for the crease and a taupe-y color suggested for the brow bone. Sweet as candy includes a shimmery pink, a shimmery brown plum and a shimmery white. Walking on Eggshells has a shimmery champagne, a shimmery bronze and shimmery white. The brow bone color in the neutral trios are virtually the same. Overall these are great quality eye shadows for the price and one of my favorites.

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary 24/7 Liner Set

Urban Decay included a set of 15 24/7 pencils as a part of their 15th anniversary celebration. This set included a variety of shades sure to satisfy both neutral and color lovers. Two black liners are included in the kit, the ever popular Zero and Perversion which is a very dark black that reminds me of MAC's Feline. Uzi is a dark silver/gray color and is a really nice alternative for black when you are going for a softer look. There is a bright teal blue, Electric Eel and a darker navy blue, Binge, which is very pretty. Ransom, Rockstar, and Asphyxia are all varying shades of purple. Rockstar is a dark purple, while Ransom and Asphyxia seem more pinkish toned purples. Rounding off the color portion of the pencils is Mildew, a gorgeous olive green color that reminds me of Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow by MAC. Baked is a nice gold/bronzey color, while Midnight Cowboy is more like a light gold/champagne color that would make a good inner rim brightener. Stray Dog, Bourbon, and Corrupt are varying shades of brown. Stray Dog is more of a taupe brown and Corrupt seems like a cooler brown than Bourbon. The liners themselves are all very smooth and easy to apply and don't fade throughout the day. The liners are also a great deal because the set with all 15 liners together costs $92 dollars and if purchased on their own the cost would total $270 which is a savings of $178

Urban Decay Naked Palette

| L to R: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck |

Urban Decay's Naked palette has become one of those must have palettes for every makeup lovers collections. It features 12 eye shadows that can be used to create a daytime office appropriate look while still being versatile enough to create a sexy smokey look to transition to night time. I love using this palette to create one of my everyday go to looks. I use sin all over the lid with buck in the crease and like doing different liner to complete the look. The colors in that combination are neutral enough that you can do a sexy winged liner or pop up the look with colored liner without being too over the top. Buck is a classic crease color that goes well with any combination that you create with the colors. I do wish it had a matte highlight color as I feel it is needed to make the palette perfect in my opinion. Sidecar is also a beautiful color but I wish it didn't contain the glitter as it does fall out onto your face. All of the colors, however, are soft, pigmented and blend easily. Overall the palette is a great value and perfect for neutral lovers.

5 Favorite MAC Eye Brushes

I love brushes. I love MAC brushes. My favorite ones that I use all the time are these 5 bad boys. From all my eye brushes if I could only keep 5 these would be them.
From left to right:
-209
-224
-227
-226
-239
The 209 is my favorite liner brush to use with gels and creams its a little bit tapered at the end and is thicker than the 210. The 224 is your basic fluffy brush great for blending out crease colors, applying a light wash of color, and blending concealer. The 227 I like to use to apply my highlight color on my brow bone. The 226 is my favorite crease brush, although it might be hard to find because it is limited edition. It's like a mix of the 219 and 224 and fits in perfectly in my crease. The 239 is the essential allover lid color brush. These are great basic eye brushes to have from MAC although cheaper alternatives can be found. Although if I could only keep one it would be the 226 just because its awesome.
All of these brushes can be found on MAC's website, maccosmetics.com, or at Macy's and Nordstroms
